In making a booking with Hinton Skydiving Centre you will be deemed to have accepted Hinton Skydiving Centre’s terms and conditions of trade and you should note the clauses dealing with cancellation of bookings and limitation of liability.
All persons attending courses are required to become provisional members of British Skydiving. Paperwork is done on arrival at the centre and membership is included in the cost of the jump. (Vouchers include this as standard). Membership of British Skydiving covers you with a third party liability insurance to the value of £10,000,000. Once purchased, memberships to British Skydiving are non-transferable and non-refundable.
When making a Tandem booking directly with Hinton Skydiving Centre a £50 non-refundable deposit is paid at the time of booking and the balance of the jump is paid on arrival. Name changes will be permitted up to the day of the jump but deposits are non-transferable to other party members.
When making an AFF booking directly with Hinton Skydiving Centre a £200 non-refundable deposit is paid at the time of booking and the balance of the course fee is paid on arrival. Name changes will be permitted up to the day of the course but deposits are non-transferable to other party members.
When making a booking for an activity using a voucher then this will be deemed as your full deposit and standard terms and conditions will apply.
Once you have made a booking, the date can be changed for an alternative date as long as a notice period exceeding seven days is given in writing. Changing the date of any activity within seven days of the allocated date will result in an admin charge of £20 per person. A cancellation or amendment of your booking with less than 48 hours’ notice will result in the loss of your deposit. Failure to attend on the day of the booking, for whatever reason, will also result in the loss of the deposit paid.
Booking in times are used as a guide only and you should expect to be at the centre for a minimum of half a day for your experience. Weather and other factors may result in delays. Students jump on a first come, first served basis so you may be required to wait for your turn along with other members of the public and club members.
Hinton Skydiving Centre reserve the right to make reasonable changes to the programme of any activity so long as these do not affect to any material extent the nature and scope of such activity.
Due to the nature of some of the activities they may be subject to cancellation due to weather conditions or other matters beyond the control of Hinton Skydiving Centre. A weather update will be available on the day of the jump and where there is doubt we would always recommend to call the centre before travelling. The decision will only be made on the day of the activity in order that we may give our customers the best advice possible. Persons choosing not to attend on the day or wishing to rebook before this decision has been made will lose their deposit.
Activities that need to be rearranged due to adverse weather conditions, where that decision has been made by Hinton Skydiving Centre, students will not be charged.
Hinton Skydiving Centre vouchers are valid for a period of 1 year from the date of issue and must be booked and used before the expiry date.
VOUCHERS CAN BE EXTENDED by contacting Hinton Skydiving Centre before the expiry date however charges will apply. In the case of inclement weather on the day of redemption, tickets will be issued as a replacement to vouchers when attending the centre.
Voucher redemptions must be done in person at Hinton Skydiving Centre before the advertised expiry date.
Hinton Skydiving Centre offers a facility to redeem vouchers or tickets for a period of 50 weeks per year, 6 days a week. All vouchers and tickets are purchased with the full understanding that they have no refund value.
Hinton skydiving centre reserves the right to reschedule the timings or location of any activity, possibly at short notice, owing to unavailability of the activity, booking numbers, or any factor beyond the control of Hinton skydiving centre.
Hinton skydiving centre reserves the right to discontinue any activity at its own discretion.
The minimum age for any parachute activity is sixteen. Persons between sixteen and eighteen years of age will be required to be accompanied by a parent or guardian aged 21 or over to sign consent forms on the day that they book in at the centre.
Currently there is no upper age limit for Tandem Skydiving and as long as you are physically fit and healthy you can self-declare by completing British Skydiving medical form 115A which is attached to all booking confirmations. If there is a doubt about fitness or where existing medical conditions require the advice of a doctor then British Skydiving medical form 115B must be used. This form, (115B), is available from the “Home” page on our website, and must be stamped and signed by a doctor and brought to the Centre on the day of your jump.
The maximum age for students on AFF courses is 54. AFF students who are physically fit and healthy can self-declare by completing British Skydiving medical form 115C which is attached to all booking confirmations. If there is a doubt about fitness or where existing medical conditions require the advice of a doctor then British Skydiving medical form 115D must be used. This form, (115D), is available from the “Home” page on our website, and must be stamped and signed by a doctor and brought to the Centre on the day of your jump.
The maximum weight limit for all courses is 95kg (15 stone). All students will be weighed on arrival and any students over the maximum weight limit will not be permitted to jump for safety reasons. If on arrival at the centre you are over the fixed weight limit of 95kg (15 Stone) you will be required to rebook for another date at which time you must not exceed the maximum weight limit. There will be a £20 fee attached to your booking which is payable when you next attend the centre.
