AFF LEVEL 1 SKYDIVE

FROM ZERO TO HERO

This fast track learning course is for those wishing to take up skydiving as a sport, starting with a Level 1 introductory course. All students are required to have a minimum of BPA provisional membership which is included in the cost of the Level 1 course.

The two day course commences with a full day in the classroom followed by your first freefall skydive from up to 13,000 feet early on the second day. During the freefall phase your two Instructors will give in-air tuition and be on hand to monitor your safety at all times.

Students will be instructed in all aspects of skydiving and canopy control which will enable them to cope with the rigors of freefalling at 120mph, controlling their body in freefall and performing a set routine of drills, ultimately deploying their own parachute at 5,000 feet. They will also have been instructed in the theory of parachute control and after deploying their parachute, this knowledge will enable them to land softly and safely on the drop zone, however, a radio communications back up is always used for safety reasons.

After you have completed your Level 1 you may then wish to continue to complete the whole course which consists of eight levels. Costs for subsequent levels will be a lot less than your original outlay as you have completed your "ground school" and will only require a comprehensive brief before subsequent descents. All jumps will end with a full debrief and a write up of the jump will be made in your personalised Log Book. Please click on the AFF Full Course menu option for further details.

All students who wish to continue will have to upgrade their BPA provisional membership to a FULL BPA membership before they can continue. Costs of upgrades are on a downward sliding scale as the season progresses.

Personal Accident insurance cover can be arranged at the centre on the day if required.

Also available is the DVD & Stills camera package priced at £95. The centre has a team of professional video cameramen available at all times who can record your descent for you. DVD’s can either be arranged when you book your skydive or on the day.

A medical form is required if you are 40 years of age or over and a letter of parental consent is required if you are under 18. The minimum age for parachuting is 16 years and the maximum age for this course is 55 years.

The maximum weight limit for all courses is 15 stone (95 Kilos).
