Fun Skydivers

Hinton Skydiving Centre operate a turbine PAC 750XL aircraft which carries up to 15 skydivers. The normal exit altitude is 13,000 feet.

If you are new to the centre then please go to the reception desk where our office staff will be able to give you all the information you need to get you in the air as soon as possible.

Please remember to bring your log book, medical, BPA membership and licence details with you in order to jump.

Once documentation is complete we will arrange a DZ brief and any refresher training if required. BPA membership can be arranged on site for visiting overseas jumpers or those who need to renew their current membership.

If you have your own equipment it can be checked and tagged at DZ control prior to jumping. If you need to hire equipment then please ask any member of the packing staff in the main hangar for advice and kit issue details. Please also remember to purchase your jump tickets before manifesting.

‘A’ Licence parachutists who have not jumped within one month will also need to complete daily drills with an Instructor before manifesting. All other categories of jumpers must ensure that they are familiar with their equipment and emergency procedures before manifesting. Stay Safe!

It is the responsibility of all AFF students to stay current as this will affect your ability to jump. In order to maintain currency you must try not to leave a gap of more than one month between jumps. Refresher training can be provided for those out of currency but charges may apply.

Students who are current and have been trained through Hinton Skydiving Centre will need to complete their daily drills upon arrival and to attend any progression briefs before manifesting. This will be done via the AFF Instructors for AFF and Consolidation students still working towards their ‘A’ Licence.

Visiting AFF and Consolidation students will only be allowed to jump at Hinton Skydiving Centre if they are current. . In order to maintain currency you must try not to leave a gap of more than one month between jumps. If you are out of currency then please contact the Drop Zone where you did your course in order to get current again. Please ensure that all retrains are annotated in your log books and signed off by a qualified Instructor.
